persistence of vision... yay!!!!! :|

Persistence of vision is when a still image is used and replaced instantly by another still image to give the illusion the image is moving. It only works however if the image is changed almost un-noticeably, about at least 12 times a second. An example of persistence of vision would be cartoons, as they use hundreds of still frames changing slightly 12 times every second.
